Boys & Girls Clubs of SW Washington Event Design
Each year the Boys & Girls Clubs of SW Washington hosts an auction fundraiser to fund their yearly projects. The need is significant, and their benefit to the community immeasurable. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to get donors in the door. That’s where the invitations come in—the Boys & Girls Clubs wanted invitees to know this was a not-to-be-missed event!
The 2015 Gala theme was “The Triple Crown Celebration.” The invitation design incorporated a deep wine color and gold foil reminiscent of the legendary Kentucky Derby race. Accompanying print media supported the gala evening, and overall, nearly one million dollars was raised at the auction.

BREW-HA! Annual Brewery Guides
The Pacific Northwest was once known for salmon. Tall evergreens. Rain-soaked beaches and fogged-over valleys and fresh apples as big as your head. But today, we’re proud to say we’ve changed all that! The BREW-HA! Brewery Guide identifies and maps every sweet little craft brewery hidden in the beer playground we call the Pacific Northwest.
ASK Advertising developed strong partnerships with both the Washington Beer Commission and the Oregon Brewers Guild to develop a marketing piece that promotes the craft beer industry in each state. The BREW-HA! Brewery Guide is pocket-sized, pin-points brewery locations, and features amenities and contact information for each mandatory stop-over.
The end-result supports itself: grab a beer and enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty on either side of the great Columbia.

Hop Harvest Beer Days Festival
Hop Harvest Beer Days is our own special baby. Created to celebrate local beers and support a neighborhood non-profit (Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy), the event brought together two worthy causes we could really get behind. ASK Advertising created Hop Harvest Beer Days, organized the event, designed the custom hand-lettered and illustrated logo, spearheaded the branding, and strutted the swag.
Branding this event was paramount. We needed to communicate how this beer event was different from all the rest. As a fresh hop festival, the Hop Harvest Beer Days featured beers brewed from just-harvested hops. These local and regional beers from Southwest Washington have a sweeter flavor than those produced with dried hops—plus there is a narrow window of time in which one can enjoy these of-the-moment beverages.
By using a bright green color and a fresh hop bud as the logo, the idea behind the festival was immediately apparent. More importantly, the inaugural event was fun, a little wild, and a big success.

Animal Behavior Clinic Rebranding
When the Animal Behavior Clinic of Portland underwent a change of ownership it was an opportunity to refresh the branding and put a fresh look on the business. The team at ABC wanted to develop a brand that highlighted the fact that they specialize in dogs and cats. There had been confusion about which types of animals they treated and making the point in the logo was desired for clarity. The new branding and website allowed them to pre-screen potential clients, collect background information online and offered a fresh new look to get them attention from their referral base as they were transitioning ownership.
